So, I’d been hearing some chatter about this “Shenzhen New Tea Young Tea Studio” place. You know how it is, new spots pop up, and everyone’s got an opinion. Some said it was the next big thing, others were like, “just another tea joint.” The name itself, “New Tea Young Tea,” sounded a bit try-hard, if I’m being honest. Like they’re really pushing that “fresh and trendy” angle.
How I Ended Up There
Truth be told, I wasn’t even planning to check it out. My day was supposed to be completely different. I had this meet-up scheduled with an old colleague, we were going to hash out some details on a project. Big stuff, or so I thought. Then, classic story, he bails last minute. “Family emergency,” he says. Right. So there I am, in the middle of the city, plans out the window, feeling a bit annoyed, you know?
I was just wandering around, trying to figure out what to do with my suddenly free afternoon. My usual coffee shop seemed too loud, too much hustle. I just wanted somewhere quiet to sit and think, maybe recalibrate. Then I remembered the talk about this tea studio. It was supposed to be somewhere nearby. I figured, “Eh, why not?” Couldn’t be worse than just moping around. At least I’d get to see what all the fuss was about, or if it was just hype.

First Impressions and Getting Settled
Found the place without too much trouble. It was one of those modern-looking spots, minimalist design, lots of light wood and plants. Looked clean, I’ll give it that. Stepped inside, and it was pretty calm. Soft, kind of ambient music playing, not too intrusive. Definitely felt “younger” than your traditional, old-school tea houses. Lots of folks on laptops, looking studious or busy.
There wasn’t a big counter like you’d expect. Someone just quietly guided me to a small table. The menu was digital, on a little tablet. Felt a bit impersonal, but efficient, I guess. Lots of tea names I’d never heard of, fancy descriptions. I just scrolled through and picked one that sounded vaguely familiar, some kind of oolong, I think. Didn’t want to spend ages trying to decipher everything.
The Tea and The Vibe
The tea arrived after a short wait. It came in a nice little set – a small pot, a couple of tiny cups. The person serving it just placed it down, no big ceremony. It smelled pretty good, though. Poured myself a cup. Took a sip.
And you know what? It was actually decent. Surprisingly good, even. Not like, blow-your-mind amazing, but a solid, quality cup of tea. Smooth, nice aroma. I sat there for a good while, just sipping and watching the world go by outside the window. It was actually quite relaxing. Helped clear my head after the earlier frustration.

- The atmosphere was definitely chill. Good for a quiet break.
- The tea itself was better than I expected for a place with such a trendy name.
- Service was low-key, they just let you enjoy your tea in peace.
I probably stayed for over an hour, just enjoying the quiet and the tea. It wasn’t the cheapest cup I’ve ever had, but for the location and the quality, I didn’t feel ripped off. So, was it worth all the “new tea young tea” buzz? For me, that day, yeah, it kinda was. It did the job. A nice little find, actually. Probably wouldn’t go out of my way for it every day, but if I’m in the area and need a peaceful spot with good tea, I’d consider popping back in. Sometimes, a simple, good experience is all you need to turn a messed-up day around a bit.
